Long Night!!!

About 11:30pm last night I woke up in excruciating pain. I have had a history of Kidney stones since May of 2007, so I knew that was the situation at hand. After speaking to our doctor he advised us to head to Winnie Palmer, the hospital that we will be delivering. We were there for several hours checking the vitals of me and the lil one. While getting the ultrasound on my abdomen, the lady decided to be extremely nice and give us a few 3D shots of our little girl! I am totally fine and feeling much better today. We were just being extra precauctious because of the pregnancy!
This is the a view of the right side of her face. The area around her nose and to the left side of her face, that looks distorted, is the umbillical cord.
This is her profile from her left side. We will be doing another 4D ultrasound around 28-32 weeks.

Belly Kicks!!

Ike and I played in the nursery last night, organizing and filtering out the closet. I couldn't go to sleep afterwards thinking of all the fun things ahead of us. Right before Ike drifted off he made the same comment he makes almost every night, about being excited for her to be sleeping on his chest or laying with us! About 15 minutes later I woke him back up. She was moving all around my belly! You would have thought this was Christmas morning and we were twelve! The doctor explained the feeling as butterflies but for me it felt more like she was bouncing from one side of my tummy to the other. As I woke this morning, she was back at it! What a truly wonderful feeling! It is like she is warning us of our soon to be late nights and early mornings...lol!

Baby "C" Visits Hopetown!

This past weekend we celebrated our One Year Anniversary and Mother's Day in Hopetown with friends!
View Our Vacation Video: Sea to Sea
It's amazing that a year has passed since we were saying our vows and celebrating with our family. We talked about the wedding and where our lives have come since then and boy(or I should say girl..lol) are we lucky! This time next year and there will be a baby playing in the water with us!My first Mother's Day was such a treat! The girls all gave me adorable cards, books and the cutest baby girl headband ever! Myles even added her Vet expertise by buying a baby book that made animal noises! It was precious! We had such a wonderful time and the perfect weather! What wonderful way to spend time with the ones you love!!

Winnie Palmer 2nd Trimester Sonogram (19wks)

This morning we had our 2nd Trimester sonogram at Winnie Palmer Hospital, where our little girl will be born! They measured every inch from her brain, heart, thighs and so on! It was unbelievable! We had cold chills watching her wiggle around inside my belly. As the photoshoot continued she developed hiccups. It was adorable. You could see her little chest jumping up and down...lol! She kept pulling her big toe away from the other four as if she was learning how to use them. It was the first time we had ever heard the heartbeat! At the end, the provided Doctor joined us to let us know she was perfect. Everything looked on schedule and she weighed 11 ounces! We questioned the cramps/pinches I have been feeling for the past few days and they said it's her!!!! What an awesome feeling! It's almost like the beginning of her creeping into our world!

Our next appointment is June 2nd for our 22 weeks checkup!

It's PINK...and BLUE!

We were overjoyed with the news yesterday evening that we were adding a nephew into our family. Everyone arrived at 6:30pm for dinner at Kelsey and Chas's! Chas said he was going to bless the food and then we would play a little game to find out the gender of their baby! As he began to pray he said something like "Lord bless Ike and Fallon and their little daughter and bless myself and Kelsey and our son"! Hardly anyone could continue the prayer and were all shocked with excitement!
What could be more perfect than having a boy and a girl! A little of both pink and blue! Barbies and Tonka Trucks! It's going to be so adorable to watch out bellies grow over the next few months. Baby showers, crib shopping, decorating, etc! We are so blessed!!

IT'S A GIRL!

After much anticipation and waiting to tell our friends & family...the time finally arrived! A bouquet of balloons lit the backyard, and one by one our family members popped what color they thought Baby "C" was going to be. As each balloon exploded into shreds everyone gazed to see if the white revealing note was within the one they chose. Ike's brother popped a pink balloon and the white note with "You WIN. It's a GIRL" was held high! Everyone cheered!

The celebration lasted throughout the weekend. I spent a lot of time with my family shopping and registering. This baby girl doesn't stand a chance! Her sweet cousin Cagney has already filled her closet with adorable baby clothes and pink everything! Ike has a lot to learn haha! I have a feeling she'll have him eating out of the palm of her hand!

Tomorrow is round #2 with Kelsey and Chas! Dinner and a surprise celebration! I can't wait to see if we will have a niece or nephew....either way the little ones are going to love each other!
