{PLANNING}

The HOUSE:
Discussions have been brewing for several months about adding on to our house or putting it for sale and moving on to our next "home"!  It's extremely sad because we absolutely LOVE our house but with our latest news we have made the decision...MOVING!  So with chances of bed rest in the future...ORGANIZATION is in the present!  We began yesterday filtering through the garage and setting up pressure cleaners for the house!  So bittersweet!  We are hoping to have our first open house Sunday of Memorial day weekend.
Our HOUSE!!! :(
Our favorite part...the BACKYARD!!!

The CAMRY:
Probably the first thing out of Ike's mouth when the door closed behind us at the doctors office last Friday was..."Well, we are going to have to get a bigger car!"  Since then all I have heard from EVERYONE is MINIVAN MOM, I am thinking thats one of my two options.  The other being a suburban type vehicle.  I better start cleaning out the Camry now because there's for sure GOLDFISH remnants lingering everywhere.

The MISCELLANEOUS:
I have been going over all the needed necessities that I am going to be needing now that we have thrown two into this mix!  Another crib, double/triple stroller, carseat, bouncy seat and so much more.  I will gradually start chipping away at these once we get the house sold!

Double the FUN...or CHAOS!

WE'RE PREGNANT:

Ike and I got home from our Bahama Trip on a Tuesday night.  I hadn't yet missed and was a few days from the four week mark so I knew taking a test was like playing with fire, but he talked me into it.  After a family gathering in our master bathroom I began reading the instructions on how accurate these test are when they are several days early.  Ike interrupted my blabbering with an excited shout, "Fallon...it says your PREGNANT"!  We began sharing hugs and kisses and swinging Brinkley around our bedroom.  A family of 3 had just went to 4!!

SHARING THE NEWS:

The next day I called and got Brinkley a monogramed shirt that said, "BIG SISTER" and then began cultivating a plan to tell our families!  We already knew we were getting together with the Crofoot side for Ike's fathers birthday on that Friday night and I would be flying to New York the following weekend for a girls trip with my mom and sister.  How perfect!

Friday came and Brinkley sported her precious shirt over to their house with a lot of cheers and celebration hugs.  Then the following weekend I met mom and Ashe at baggage claim with a poster of her wearing the shirt!  Shocked but not shocked...a lot of tears were shed.  That afternoon I spent awhile on the phone talking to my father and other friends about the great news!

The DOCTOR:

I contacted Dr. C the day after I had found out!  His sonogram machine had just retired and he was in the process of getting a new one.  So he told us I could come in around six weeks and listen to the heartbeat, however because it was still early there was a good chance we wouldn't hear anything.

We went in and within a few minutes and a few sweats...there it was!  Our little new addition!  So I was then scheduled for a new OB appointment at 9 weeks. We would hear the heartbeat again and discuss all the things most ONE CHILD BEARING parents hear.  What I could and couldn't eat, exercise routines, medications, etc.  It went like a charm!

After three weeks of calling the office to find out when the new machine would be in, they scheduled my appointment.  Thursday morning at 9:15am.  I would be a day shy of 12 weeks and very eager to see a tiny little body growing inside me!  Of all things, Brinkley and I came down with a terrible stomach bug on Tuesday night and post-poned the appointment till Friday at 2:00pm!  Done!  I lined up Kelsey to watch Brinkley and Ike was going to meet me there.  He called me on the way and we briefly discussed what "IF" its twins.  With my father being a fraternal twin, it was always in the back of my mind.  But we laughed it off and went on with our appointment.

Dr. C took us right in and got started.  The new machine was shining and all I could think about was whether or not it was another sweet girl or a new little boy...NOTHING else crossed my mind.  About two seconds into it he said, "Here's the FIRST one."  WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE FIRST ONE is all that I could get out of my mouth before Ike started saying he thought he saw two little bodies.  We both could have passed out.  I followed this with a ton of OH MY GOSHES and ARE YOU SURE???  TTTTTTWWWWWWIIIIIINNNNNNNSSSSSSSS??????????????

Our family of 4 just went to 5!  It took about 24 hours for everything to settle in.  We are  double blessed and going to have double the fun!

EXCITED!  OVERWHELMED!  SHOCKED!  BLESSED!

Relaxing...

We have been so busy lately that blogging nor relaxing has been the forefront of my thoughts!  So last weekend helped change that.  A good relaxing LONG weekend in Hopetown!  The weather was amazing, the food was yummy and my new James Patterson book rocked.  We all had so much fun, grilling out and hopping around the town!  Of course by Tuesday evening we were so excited to see Brinkley I could have jumped out the airplane!

Ike had TWO Valentine's!

Brinks invited all of her friends over for breakfast, some yummy treats and playtime!  Everyone had fun watching all 10 little ones playing!  If our group keeps growing at this rate we will have to start renting a space to get together!

Later Ike came home with ROSES for Brinkley and me!  It was precious.  He made a picnic in the backyard and spent sometime being her Valentine!  Probably the only Valentine he will let her have until shes 25 haha!  Then it was my turn.  We dropped her off at her Grandparents and headed out...just us!  It was perfect!  A great day, and a wonderful Valentine!  We love you Daddy!

Life with a 16 Month Old!

It's been several months since I have updated about Brinkley and so much has changed.  Her means of communication with Ike and I has really blossomed over the past few weeks.  She's either speaking what she wants or can at least point to it.  You can tell her its time to eat and she walks over, sits in her high-chair (which is on the ground) and says, "BITE"!  It is so precious! Brinkley is still loving bath time and playing outside.  She has also learned the beginning of the Barney I love you song and I can't get enough.  Her mouthful of teeth are so funny when she smiles and her fine STRAIGHT hair finally will blow in the wind.  She's growing up so fast that I would love to freeze our time right now.

As for Ike and I we are great!  He's been really busy with work but still loving his job.  I had a little sinus surgery so my mother came down to help out for a two weeks.  She did our laundry, made lunches and got up with Brinkley every morning...it really spoiled us!!!  I am all recovered.  I just had some nasal polyps and extra tissue removed to help with my allergies.  Lets pray it works.  Other than that our busy traveling time won't start until the end of February so we are enjoying our time at home and together!

A Southern Charm

Over the past six months my sister-n-law and myself have started a business!  We started giving furniture a new makeover.  So we launched ASouthernCharm.com about two weeks ago and we are already busy with new projects.  Take a look at our blog, like us on Facebook and give us a call if there are pieces in your home that need some TLC!

Time with Nanny!

Ike's grandmother spent a few weeks in Orlando after Christmas and we enjoyed all of our quality time with her!  She lives in South Bend and visits from time to time!  His cousin is getting married in June so we are looking forward to seeing her then!  Sweet Nans!

Christmas photo recap!

I have NEGLECTED my blog over the past two months and will do a photo recap to get up to date!  We were in North Carolina for Christmas this year but were able to celebrate in Orlando with family prior to us leaving!  We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  Brinkley was spoiled really good and loved opening gifts!
